Muraccio overlooks Lake Bolsena, the largest and cleanest volcanic lake in Europe, surrounded by unspoiled nature. From the shore it is possible to observe little egrets, herons, coots, mallards and sometimes a pair of swans. In the surrounding groves live turtle doves, crows and, more rarely, the colourful bee-eaters.
The territory offers a mosaic of landscapes: hills, woods, thermal waters, lakeside villages and, a little further away, the sea of Argentario.
